INTRODUCTION: "SO THEN, MY BELOVED"

I. GOD MADE YOU HIS OWN CHILDREN!   (2:14)
            A. You are saved individually

            B. You are saved immediately, completely, eternally

            C. You are saved purposefully                      

II. OBEDIENTLY, WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION IN GOD'S REALITY!   (2:12-13)
            A. Your Work Context (2:12)
                        1 Corinthians 15:50
                        Your stubborn issues: bitterness, forgiveness, submission, humility, service, tongue
                        Your humbled demeanor: fear, trembling

            B. Your Battle Context
                        Galatians 5:17
                        Romans 7:14-25
                        Philippians 1:21-26
                        Colossians 1:12,13

            C. Your Reality Context (2:13)
                        1. God is working in you individually and together

                        2. God wills you to will and empowers your work (Ephesians 3:20)

                        3. God's good pleasure is your good pleasure

III. HAVING INTEGRITY WITH CHRIST'S ATTITUDE INCLUDES GOSPEL RESPONSES IN YOUR LIVES   (2:14-16)
            A. What proves your attitude? (2:5)
                        1. Do all things without grumbling or disputing
           
                        2. Conduct yourselves worthily within your Gospel fellowship (1:5; 1:27; 2:3-4)

                        3. Remember you have been sent to live out of your new nature without reproach
                                    You appear as lights in the world
                       
                                    You appear as lights as Gospel bearers

                                    You appear as lights as Gospel examples

            B. What's in your joy? (2:17-18)
                        1. What made Jesus joyful?   (Luke 10:17-24; John 15:11)
                       
                        2. What made Paul joyful?

                        3. Are you a recipient of God's grace?

                        4. Are you living and growing and going in a Gospel fellowship?

                        5. You too, are you rejoicing, and sharing your joy with us?
